Siri Fails

Oct 14 2011

With the launch of the iPhone 4S today, it opens the door to an unprecedented number of fails with the Voice recognition software “Siri” and we want to hear your biggest Siri fails.

No doubt, the voice recognition software will be trained to understand most basic accents, but dialects are a completely different story. Take “Trawlermen” which is based on fishermen of the north-east of Scotland. This programme is subtitled due to the difficulty people from around the country have understanding the accent. So if members of the same country can’t understand the dialect, I find it hard to believe that Siri will.

So submit any siri fails you have by emailing peter@pgmdesign.co.uk or you can iMessage me through the same address. Don’t forget to leave your name so we can credit the fail to you.
