The iPhone 4S was released on sale today and as per every Apple product launch there was no shortage of uberfans waiting outside the door of every phone shop in town.

The only store I’ve seen so far with a constant queue was the O2 store who were also handing out refreshments and newspapers for those queuing. Not sure why there was a queue outside this store when every other phone shop just allowed customers to go in a pick up their brand new iPhone 4S without having to mess around. If anyone knows why I’d love to know.

For those customers lucky enough to get their hands on the iPhone 4S this morning, it already comes pre-installed with the new iOS 5 software so you don’t have to worry about updating when you get home.

The handset conforms to the same design as it’s predecessor the iPhone 4, but with an overhaul on internal features including processor and camera upgrade.
